About me
Lori Emmington currently serves as Director of Secondary Education for the Folsom Cordova USD in Northern California. With over 25 years of experience in public education, she is committed to helping instructional leaders build and sustain a strong school and district culture that supports continuous learning and improvement for all students and teachers.
Before transitioning to her role as district administrator, Lori served as the principal of Vista del Lago High School, a recently recognized Model PLC school. During her tenure there, Lori guided her team through the process of school-wide grading reform and the implementation of a flexible tier 2 intervention system. Now, as Director of Secondary Education, she is working to scale this work districtwide to ensure that all students learn at high levels. She enjoys learning from and sharing her knowledge with other school leaders and has presented at regional, state and national conferences.
Lori earned her bachelor’s degree in humanities and her master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from CSU, Sacramento. She was a National Board Certified teacher and taught at the middle and high school levels.
